Thornton House 1
New Build
The three wings of the house cantilever out from the steep hillside of the site to exploit the amazing views of the valley and beyond to the cathedral range. Walkways between the three wings provide separation between the master suite, the visitor wing and the generous living wing in the centre. A palette of beautiful, natural materials including ironbark hardwood cladding to the walls and ceiling and stone walls and chimneys create a rustic, country style home befitting the surrounds. A balcony wraps around and connects all three wings providing generous opportunities for undercover outdoor living. Clever use of frameless glass blurs the distinction between inside and outside.
